Hello all,
Just wanted to share this with you. The back story on this song that I'm
attaching to this email is this: I had a band with some friends of mine
called "KAPOW!" that lasted about two seconds back in 1989. We rehearsed
2 or 3 times and then one night at the Anthrax we jumped up on stage
after an Up Front set and played our one song that we had finished
writing (titled "Thru My Hands").....and that was the end. This was the
first band I was ever in and the the very first song that I ever wrote
the music to. My good friend Roger was the singer and it was the very
first song he ever attempted writing lyrics for. Now fast forward 20
years....Roger was coming to CT (from Cali) for a visit so I was able to set up a
recording session at Tom Boudreau's Bonehead Studios for us to go in and
finally record our song. We didn't change it or update it. This is
pretty true to what we intended it to be in 1989. We went in just to
have fun and reminisce a little about our youth but we ended up
recording something that I'm proud of. We had a great time getting our
little band back together for a moment or two and we owe a big thank you
to Tom B for making it possible (once again) and to Chris Prorock for
playing drums since our original drummer was not available.
